LABIC researchers were awarded in the Dissertation Competition at the Brazilian Symposium on Multimedia and Web Systems (WebMedia 2023)

We are pleased to announce that researchers Marcos Gôlo and Paulo Viviurka were awarded first and third place, respectively, in the WebMedia 2023 master’s thesis competitions. This result demonstrates the quality of research developed at the Laboratory of Computational Intelligence (LABIC), as part of of his projects in the Postgraduate Program in Computer Science and Computational Mathematics (PPG-CCMC) at ICMC-USP.

Held annually by the Brazilian Computing Society (SBC), the Brazilian Symposium on Multimedia and Web Systems (WebMedia) is the main event on the topic in Brazil and an excellent opportunity for scientific and technical exchanges between students, researchers and professionals in the areas of Multimedia, Hypermedia and the Web. In 2023 we will be celebrating the 29th edition of WebMedia, jointly organized by two units of the University of São Paulo (USP): the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters of Riberão Preto (FFCLRP) and the Institute of Mathematical Sciences and of Computing (ICMC).
